WhatsApp is a multi-platform multimedia messaging application for smartphones that can, in addition to basic messages, send pictures, voice, video, and media messages to users.
The WhatsApp was founded in 2009 by Brian Octon of the United States and Mr. Jan Kum (CEO), both former employees of Yahoo!, based in Santa Clara, California.
WhatsApp competes with a number of Asian messaging services such as KakaoTalk, LINE, and WeChat. Ten billion daily messages were sent to WhatsApp in August 2012, 2 billion more in April 2012 and 1 billion in October. WhatsApp announced on Twitter on June 13, 2013, that their records The new day reached 27 billion messages, and Facebook purchased the Watsp on 19 February 2014 for $ 19 billion.
Wi-Fi is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Symbian and Windows Phone 7 only (and on iPad unofficially) and synchronizes with contacts on the phone, so users do not need to add contacts in a separate record.
